Writers Rooms

Do you have a tv series to develop and pitch into the marketplace?

Do you have an idea for a feature but need guidance and workshopping to structure and shape the story?

Are you a production company with undeveloped content that could be mined and developed?

We bring a collaborative group of seasoned writers together to work with the creator to develop their ideas, deepen characters, and get their projects to the next level.

We create a supportive, educational environment with seasoned mentors who have current shows on Max, Netflix, Paramount, Lifetime, etc.

In a TV writers room, many voices come together to elevate one voice, one vision.  At Call to Adventure, we do just that.

Bring us your story.

Here are some series we have developed:

Logline: A disgraced funeral planner returns home to redeem her tarnished reputation and reclaim her dominance in the serious and often funny death business.

Testimonials

“My writers room experience was valuable in helping develop my characters into fully-formed individuals viewers care about by asking targeted questions and giving feedback. I was encouraged to see beyond my pilot and understand how my characters, themes, and stories will evolve into a multi-season series I can express in a pitch.”

-Harold Abrams

“The Call to Adventure lab prioritized my voice and vision as the creator of "Silver Spoon" within a joyfully collaborative environment. I'm grateful for the opportunity to learn in such a supportive and professional space at this stage in my career. Working with Betsy and Liz gave me the guidance and reassurance I needed to realize the full potential of my show.”

-Lucy Porter

“And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.”
